At this years Games Day Chicago Join the Iron Helms In the Semmel Betrail. We will be giving out some prizes as for cool things you've done in the game. It will be the blood angels trying to survive aganst the evil Cabal of the Webway. All Imperial players may bring Up to 500 pionts of a fully painted strike force to help out their fellow marines. All non iperial players may Bring up to 750 poits of a fully painted army. You must follow force org and we will have a very special scenario for this awsome Event.

Grey knights, one codex to rule them all!

Yesterday I went down to my local gw for round two of a 2500pt 40k tournament (more on that another post) and black box has just arrived. What was in it was the grey knights codex and some cool plastic kits.  After looking at all the pretty minuratues, I grabbed the codex and sat down to read what matt ward's most recent work. What I found was a deathwing army on crack!. First off my favorite HQ in the book (he woops mephiston) Supreme grand master Lord Dragio. coming in at 275 points , ws 7, bs5, s5 t5, w4, i5 a 4 0r 5, ld 10, sv 2+. Eterenal warrior, and all the other good grey knight special rules. He allows paladins to be taken as troop choices. Paladens are two wound terminators with a 4+ invunrable save, and one may be upgraded to an apothacary giving the unit feel no pain! If that is broken I dont know what is. Im not saying that it is the codex that is going to steam roll every tournament, but 15 paladens and lord Dragio with some minor upgrades is around 1300 pts. That may not be many models but they are almost impossible to kill. Yea but there foot slonging and ill just shoot them to death, big deal you might kill one or two the most. The grey knight in my opion is still a very elite army, however they can pull it off. So that is my take on the grey knights, Ill be doing a small army of them(and by small I mean all paladens at 2000 pts !). Leave in the comments what you think of the new dex and the preety new plastic kits to go along with it. Have we found a end all be all HQ in the universe of 40k.

I going to be tryin on getting a camera soon and put up some pics of recently painted models, and also of a 30,000 point apoc game I recently attended. We have also had several new members join the iron helms club. We will hopefully be attending games day in chicago and running our first club table. If your intrested in coming down to gamesday, we will be giving out some loot, and runing a special blood angels themed game. Within the next couple days i will be working on some painting tutorials.

The Ultramarines, almost Finished!

So my most recent army I decided to do was the Ultramarines 2nd company. I started this army a few months ago. So recently I finally decided to finish painting them. I kept on getting back into my Blood angels (my favorite army) , who now stand at around 9000 points and about 4500 of that painted. So I will have pics of the completed army soon.

On another note, I will soon be showing off my new airbrush with a recent drop pod I have done, and also 3 predators that I will be using the airbrush on also.

New to the 40k Blog community

Hi I'm will and have been playing 40k for about 5 years now. My first army was Chaos space Marines and I played around for about a year with them, then  then one day on YouTube I stumbled across a video from of a Blood Angels player some may know as Jawaballs. I was hooked by the red thirst and about a week later printed off the Blood angels pdf. From there its took off and my BA army grew ever since. It is around 9000 points, not fully painted. I will have pics coming up soon. Later in the next few months i will start putting up tutorials on various how to paint 40k models. I will also show off a soon to be done Ultramarine's army that has been taking most of my time up in the recent month. This Blog will also be home to a club me and Friend will be starting, and also a dark eldar army we are doing together.
